Hongmi Machinery has independently developed an automated fly‑attracting ball‑making machine that delivers high production speeds, uniform glue application, and adjustable glue‑weight settings to minimize waste. The equipment can produce approximately 1,500 to 2,000 units per hour and has earned widespread user approval and unanimous acclaim from the industry since its market launch.
The fly‑attracting ball machine can produce two types of products: fly‑attracting balls and fly‑attracting sticks. The machine employs a rotary‑table drive system, facilitating manual loading and unloading. Each rotation of the turntable is equipped with 20 ball‑insertion stations and two glue‑spraying nozzles, enabling simultaneous application to two balls. The equipment features a continuous glue‑spraying cycle and an automatic counting‑and‑stop function, reducing the time required for manual counting and packing, lowering labor costs, and boosting production efficiency. The maximum glue‑spraying diameter is 120 mm, with an adjustable glue‑application range of 3–20 g; the widest glue‑spraying width for fly‑attracting sticks is 240 mm.
Fly‑attracting balls are widely used in orchards, vegetable greenhouses, and on citrus trees to trap both large and small fruit flies. The peak season for fruit fly activity typically occurs from May to July each year.
